This poster is made to inform people about the causes of Hepatitis. Things which invite Hepatitis are -----                       (i) Drinking alcohol regularly,                       (ii) Eating junk and unhealthy foods and drinks,                       (iii) Taking extra medicine with high doses,                       (iv) Viruses ( hepatitis A, hepatitis B, hepatitis C )                        (v) Using the syringes and needles which are contaminated with infected blood or any                                    body fluid.It should be maintained that every single syringe and needle is used only once. Besides these if any mother is effected with hepatitis during pregnancy, there is a chance for the baby to be affected with it.

Normal Liver & Bad Liver 

Hepatitis B is a vaccine -preventable liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV) that can lead to chronic infection causing cirrhosis, liver cancer and death 

Hepatitis A is a contagious liver infection caused by the hepatitis A virus. Hepatitis A can be prevented with a vaccine. People who get hepatitis A may feel sick for a few weeks to several months but usually recover completely and do not have lasting liver damage.

22nd March, 2023Team Assam's four student advocates Pranjal Dutta, Dharitri Barman, Bhargab Das and Ipsita Roy along with 30 other students of Department of Journalism, Mass Communication and Media Studies, Cotton University conducted a Street play on awareness on hepatitis on 21st March at 6 different locations of Rani, Kamrup district, Assam. They mainly covered rural areas and market places where maximum people could gather information. 19th March, 2023:North East Liver Foundation in association with Nava Suruj Welfare Foundation, Assam today  organized an hepatitis awareness camp with free Hepatitis B and C screening with Liver Fibro scan at Durga Mandir, Lalmati. Project Co Ordinator Subhasish Ghosh and Documentation Officer Birinchi Mahanta took the initiative in making people aware about viral hepatitis, it's severity, causes, symptoms and modes of spreading. 17th January, 2023, AssamSanghatree Dey organized a hepatitis awareness session at Assam Arunachal border at Bhalukpung on 17th January, 2023.She met few people and along with distribution of pamphlets , the advocate explained about Hepatitis and related facts .

A short session was planned out in Burtuk where 7 partners participated Information on Hepatitis was provided to the groupAt the beginning the group was asked to fill the pre test and at the end they were made to fill the post test ...

On the 6th of January 2023 during the household visit in one of the villages Singhik, North Sikkim the sign and symptoms of hepatitis among the community were provided and the children were also asked to do some activities to highlight the important sign of hepatitis. The song of hepatitis was played in every individual household for a better understanding, all the participants were very active and supportive. Health education regarding hepatitis was also provided.

As the members of self Help group are engaged for different activities of upcoming Bihu festival, the advocate could spread awareness with all the members of the group and asked them to help her in spreading awareness as much possible.

11th January, 2023: AssamTeam Assam's student advocate Sanghatree Dey conducted an awareness session on hepatitis at Meera's Homestay at Ghoramari, Tezpur, Sonitpur on 11th January, where 6 to 7 participants were present.

11th January, 2023:Team Assam's student advocate Dharitri Barman organized an awareness session on viral hepatitis at Milijuli Self Help Group, Nalbari district on 11th January, 2023. As I told already that we went for a field trip in Bojoghari on 11 January 2023 first we told about hepatitis to shopkeepers and then nearby their was a medical shop also so there was 2 people in the medical shop so we asked both to fill the questioneries but 1 was really busy so the other girl filled it she knew many things about hepatitis so I didn't need to explain her much because she already knew many things.From this I finished my second activity.Thank youPratima Chettri

Today I pratima chettri and my junior from modern school went to the field trip in Bojoghari it was really fun and it was my first time speaking infront of so many people I was little nervous but then I started feeling comfortable I and sahil went to nearby shops and asked the shopkeepers to fill the questioneries Below u all can see in the picture(With this I completed my first activity of talking to the shopkeepers about hepatitis)Thank you

10th January, 2023: Team Assam's advocate Bhargab Das organized an onsite activity session at SIPINI Self Help Group, Village Sakomura, Bongaigaon district, Assam on 10th January, where 12 ladies have participated.  People of these villages do not know much about hepatitis or jaundice , therefore the advocate had to give information from very basic and in a simple way.

10th January, 2023, Tuesday: Student advocate Tanushree Chakravarty and documentation officer Birinchi Mahanta organized an awareness session on viral Hepatitis today at Medicity Dental Care Clinic, Ulubari , Guwahati. Approximately 10-12 people were present on the session. 7th January, 2023, Sonitpur, Assam :Student Advocate Sanghatree Dey organized a session on Hepatitis on 7th January at Anjula's Boutique, near Hanuman Mandir, Goroimari, Sonitpur , Assam where along with the boutique owner six of their employees had participated.  Advocate explained everything in detail and focused mainly on how hepatitis can be spread through ear piercing, or tattoo etc.to make them understand the severity of the disease. She also gave information about symptoms ,  causes  and preventive measures of Hepatitis.

Awareness about the spread and prevention of Hepatitis was provided to  family members at Melli Dara ,South Sikkim

4th January, 2023: Student Advocate Bhargab Das organized an awareness session at Sadhana Self Help Group at village Katashbari(Near Jogighopa) in Bongaigaon district, Assam on 4th January, 2023. Total 12 females were present where he conducted the camp.

4Th January, 2023:Student advocate Tanisha Dey conducted an awareness session on viral Hepatitis at a coaching center at Durgabari, Tezpur on 4th January, 2023.  She gave information related to viral hepatitis and different aspects were discussed.

3rd January, 2023:Banakshi Das organized an awareness at Nikita's Tuition Center at Tezpur, Sonitpur on 3rd January, 2023, where 5 students were present. Basic  discussion on liver and hepatitis and baseline-end line survey were conducted .

3rd January, 2023: TuesdayBhargab Das  organized a hepatitis awareness session at Fitness Planet Gym in Bijni Town, NS Road, Chirang district Assam on 3rd January, 2023. Owner of the gym Mintu Talukdar and 12 other members are there in the session. They have completed base line end line survey forms and got a detailed and some unknown information related to jaundice, hepatitis and liver related problems.

3rd January, 2023:  Student Advocate Arindam Das conducted a discussion and awareness session with some students of tuition center at Tezpur on 3rd January, 2023 at 6pm.Ten students are present there where he has conducted baseline end line survey and informed the students about liver or hepatitis related issues.

3rd January, 2023: By AssamStudent advocate Sanghatree Dey organized an awareness session on hepatitis and related issues at Priya's Beauty Parlor (Dhekiajuli Tamuli Road, Sonitpur, Assam ) on 3rd January, 2023. 7-10 members were present where our advocate described everything in an understandable way.
